Tell us more about your role in Xsell.

I co-founded Xsell 9 years ago with my business partner Edel Madden, I have a very clear role in the business, Sales Director, my focus in building out our customer base and ensuring that we achieve are revenue and growth targets each year. I manage a team if sales and marketing professionals involved in direct selling as well as overseeing our partner and franchise network.

What is the most difficult part of your job? But the most rewarding one?

New Business acquisition is typically the most challenging role within any business, however its the role I find the most rewarding – I have a strong belief that we should sell to prospective customers bit rather walk in their shows to understand their challenges and then help them solve those challenges. There is nothing more satisfying than a customer thanking us for helping them.

Is there anything that you would change about your professional path?

I have got to say I have really enjoyed my journey, I feel lucky in terms of the opportunities that have come my way. In my early years I didn’t have an ambition to start a business of my own, but as my career progressed it became clear I was becoming more frustrated by decisions being made within the business and I knew something needed to change. The last nine years have been the toughest but most rewarding years of my professional life.

What’s your key strategy for the development of your company?

We have 3 key strategies:

2. Enterprise Focus – We have great clients who have global growth requirements, we are perfectly positioned to support other Global clients with their growth
3. Metaverse – We took a decision 2 years ago to embrace the Metaverse, the opportunities in this space are enormous and we are delighted with the journey so far

What do you think about the next period of time, keeping in mind the pandemic and the new business climate? How will your industry be affected?

We all thought Covid-19 was the BIG impact globally, what we didn’t see was war, inflation, fuel prices and so on. We are fortunate that our digital first approach has seen our business grow faster in the last 2 years than any time in our past. We are very positive about the future and feel we are well placed to support our clients with the challenges and opportunities ahead.
