Fireside chat with Nathan Kelleher

Who is Nathan?

A father, a husband and an entrepreneur. These three things define me and my circle.

I am someone who is equally at home in social gathering or alone in my thoughts.

I am driven by the opportunity to be a part of anything that hasn’t been done before. Innovators, entrepreneurs, creative corporate thinkers… they attract my interest and I can add fuel to their passion.

Tell us more about your role in True Altitude.

I am a Co-Founder and Partner at True Altitude and I operate in our Advisory business assisting our portfolio and clients with all their Corporate Development and Fundraising needs.

What is the most difficult part of your job? But the most rewarding one?

We are heavily into fundraising for businesses and you may expect to get 99 rejections before you will see a Yes. Rejection is never easy however we just need one yes so we strive everyday to find that success. It is humbling and drives me constantly.

Is there anything that you would change about your professional path?

I only wish I had not spent the first decade of my career trying to climb the corporate ladder. I didn’t know anything else however I am grateful that I was introduced to entrepreneurship and haven’t looked back.

What’s your key strategy for the development of your company?

Focus. It is very easy to be distracted by the next ‘bright & shiny’ opportunity however we need to stay true to the path we are on.

What do you think about the next period of time, keeping in mind the pandemic and the new business climate? How will your industry be affected?

Our business was heavily invested in B2B SaaS technology which saw a massive boost during the pandemic. We have already seen a huge shift from growth at all costs to a more focus on revenue and profitability – this was a significant shift for all early stage businesses.

Please name a few technologies which have the greatest impact on your business.

Don’t really have anything here – same as everyone else!!
