What’s the story behind Imperium Compliance?

I have been working in and around the Investment Management industry for 20+ years, specifically working with Investment Guidelines which are rules which manage the risk of client portfolios. Having worked at many different Investment Managers over the years I noticed that the same problems were inherent with the process i.e. it is very manual, time consuming and susceptible to human error. Errors may lead to guideline breaches which where the consequences range from compensation having to be paid to the clients, fines and sanctions by regulators and damage to reputation. Since I hate inefficient and slow processes, I had an idea to build a product that could automate the process using Artificial Intelligence. After speaking with a number of people about the idea, I was introduced to a software house which specialises in AI/ML. I pitched the idea to them, and they suggested that they could build an MVP, which is what eventually happened.
